NEW CLASS - Beginners yoga - Bone Health & Balance (The Goodlife Wellness Centre)

Class starts with a breath meditation to calm and relax the mind before we begin our yoga class. We will then move between Hatha yoga which is more static poses focusing on alignment, muscle engagement and building strength and flow yoga practice where we will move with the breath continuously connecting each pose. This is a very easeful and mindful movement that will encourage lymphatic stimulation along with cardio vascular activity supporting heart health. 

On occasions we will use bands and sometimes light weights which are optional to help maintain strength and support bone health. As maintaining our balance is crucial at all ages we will be also bringing the focus to balance and core strength to support our whole body. 

Each class will finish with a relaxing shavasana to bring you back in balance before returning to the rest of your day. 

What to bring?
Yoga mat and a blanket. 
If you do have yoga blocks & straps please also bring them along in your yoga bag. I will supply the resistance bands and you will be informed of what light weights to bring along which are optional. 

What to wear?
Loose comfortable breathable clothing, along with layers that you can add or take off as needed.
